On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Arhan from Heriot live from the Bloodstock Festival in Derbyshire, UK.

Immediately, Pipeman praises the reborn Heriot, saying he loves how brutal it is and that it’s right up to his speed. Arhan says they band put a lot of blood sweat and tears into it so it means a lot for it to be paying off.

Explaining the history of the band, Arhan says the started as a three piece back in 2014 as a doomier band, before taking a hiatus. When they came back in 2020 Arhan describes their music is more industrial abrasive, with influences like God Flesh and Nails. They released a record in April and say the feedback has been awesome from it, even receiving some plaudits from Mark Morton.

After Bloodstock, Heriot are going to be playing the Art Tangent Festival, as well as bunch of festivals in September. In November and February, they’ll be touring, however that remains unannounced so be sure to keep an eye on the socials for the dates and venues for that. They’re also working on some new stuff to put out, capitalising on the buzz around the band at the moment, which should come out at the end of the year. The guys say they’ve noticed a difference in the crowds since their rise in popularity.
