On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Jennifer of Ignescent to discuss their upcoming performance live at Inkcarceration in Ohio.

Pipeman starts by asking Jennifer about how many interviewers mess up their band name. She says it happens all the time as people aren’t familiar with the word. Pipeman tells her how he had an experience with a German band and he had been practicing the name with the publicist.

Jennifer says she’s so excited to play Ink, saying she’s wanted to play it for the longest time and when they found out a few months ago, they were freaking out with excitement. Pipeman also shares his excitement about going to the festival, talking about all the awesome things you can do on site.

Jennifer speaks a little bit about their new music, saying it’s a lot harder than it was in the past, especially with COVID. Jennifer says she wanted to write music which reflected how she felt at the time. They then spend some time talking about the upcoming festivals they’ll be playing in the weeks to come

Talking about the song Remnant, Jennifer says she wrote it during lockdown and the whole situation was sad, with many dying and getting sick, but also from the perspective of an artist seeing others bands quitting. She says the remnant is what remains after a tragedy, so it is a song of hope in a crazy world.
