Your words are singularly the most powerful force in your life, outside of God Himself. In fact, Scripture says:

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit life or death. Proverbs ‭18:21‬

Your words are so powerful that they will kill or give life, and the talkative person will reap the consequences.

You can choose to use the power of your tongue to be a constructive force with words of encouragement, affection, praise, healing or faith, OR destructively with words of despair, hate, bitterness, harm or fear.

Words have energy and power with the ability to help or to hurt. Considering the 'powerful force' of the words you utter, you must know that your words determine your direction.

Listen, we all fail in many areas, but especially with our words. Yet if we’re able to bridle the words we say we are powerful enough to control ourselves in every way, and that means our character is mature and fully developed. James 3:2

Jesus tells you: For out of the fullness, the overflow, the superabundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Matthew ‭12:34‬

For what has been stored up in your hearts will be heard in the overflow of your words!

Literally, how you shape your words, will determine how your words shape you. If God's word in your mouth then God is shaping. If the world's word is in your mouth, then the world is shaking.

God gives you the choice of what you choose to say, so choose to speak life, encouragement, peace and gentleness. Build up the minds of others, do not pollute them.
