How often in modern history have we seen a fighter like Vasyl Lomachenko, who is consistently good enough to turn what should be an epic showdown into just another play date? Expert analysts Travis Hartman, Rizwaan Zahid and John J. Raspanti evaluate whether the Ukrainian star is simply the best 130-pounder of his moment, or whether they can say (after just 11 pro fights) that he's on his way to becoming an all-time great.
In addition, we review a memorable slugfest between Miguel Roman and Orlando Salido, discuss which Tevin Farmer fight the judges were watching, and look ahead to Billy Joe Saunders vs. David Lemieux.

We also get our weekly United Kingdom boxing update from Paul McLaughlin.

The main event, though, was our featured guest, 1960s-'70s heavyweight Jack "The Giant" O'Halloran, who fought George Foreman, Ken Norton, Ron Lyle, and multiple other studs in a 57-fight career, after which he became an actor with roles alongside Robert Mitchum, Marlon Brando, and Gene Hackman -- all of whom became close friends, as did Steve McQueen and James Coburn.

His biological father, Albert Anastasia, was the boss of the Gambino organized crime family, a true story he spun into a novel he published in 2010.

This is a colorful conversation with a true Damon Runyon character from boxing's storied past. If you love tales from boxing's gritty past, you'll really enjoy this one.

Dennis Taylor is host of The Ringside Boxing Show, editor/publisher of www.ringsideboxingshow.com, and co-author (with John J. Raspanti) of "Intimate Warfare: The True Story of the Arturo Gatti and Micky Ward Boxing Trilogy," winner of the West Coast Boxing Hall of Fame "Book of the Year" award and currently on Amazon's Bestsellers list.
