show moreThe widow of former world heavyweight champion Tommy "The Duke" Morrison has crusaded for four years to prove that her husband never had the HIV virus, and did not die of AIDS, a case for which she produces startling, compelling evidence on this week's Ringside Boxing Show.
Trisha Morrison is joined on the show by Dr. Jonas Moses, an expert on the topic who will testify as an expert witness in a lawsuit filed by The Estate of Tommy Morrison against the Nevada State Athletic Commission and Quest Diagnostics, the lab that made the original diagnosis.
Ms. Morrison also has harsh criticism for ESPN's recent "30 for 30" documentary on the life and death of her husband, whose career was effectively truncated by the diagnosis.
This enlightening, in-depth interview is preceded by expert analysts Travis Hartman and John J. Raspanti, who tell us how Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller fits into the heavyweight title scramble, the underappreciated depth of the middleweight division (Golovkin, Canelo, Jacobs, Andrade, Saunders, Lemieux, Dervanchenko...), Dana White's decision to begin promoting boxing, Mikey Garcia's choice to reject a fight with Jorge Linares, the nerve of Adonis Stevenson to offer Eleider Alvarez "step-aside money" -- again -- for a potential showdown with Badou Jack (and Alvarez's apparent willingness to consider the option), and more.
We also hear once again from our British correspondent, who updates us Scott, Tony Bellew, and Anthony Joshua.
This is a jam-packed, highly education episode of The Ringside Boxing Show.
Dennis Taylor is host of The Ringside Boxing Show, editor/publisher of www.ringsideboxingshow.com, and co-author (with John J. Raspanti) of the West Coast Boxing Hall of Fame's 2017 choice for Book of the Year, "Intimate Warfare: The True Story of the Arturo Gatti and Micky Ward Boxing Trilogy," currently on Amazon's bestsellers list.
