Welcome to This Edition of RiversZen Today for Thursday, February 7th, 2019
The news of the day: Checking on the 10 day forecast, we don’t have much change in temperature . . . with evening lows hanging right around freezing and the highs hovering in the low 40’s. And every two days we are scheduled to alternate a day of sun followed by two days of rain/snow. A tough time to stay in balance. But lucky for you Kathie Hobbs is planning to prepare you for all of that chilly changeable weather. Kathie’s class today is going to concentrate on hip openers, lower back and balance (certainly a concept we need to embrace if the ice returns). She’s hoping to keep everyone in motion with joints lubricated in preparation for dealing with all the cold weather we are having. She will finish her class with 15 minutes of yin . . . those wonderful poses you hold for a tad longer than usual in an effort to access those deeper layers of fascia. All things to prepare you for the weather for the next week. Kathie’s class is at 10:30 in Astoria today and every Thursday.
