Today the roundtable consists of Tina Visant of the Good Nurse, Bad Nurse Podcast, Swardiq Mayanja aka Q the Nurse, Adrianne Behning of Nursing Uncensored, and Erica Bailey, Clinical Relations Specialist at the University of Portland and the Creator of the Nurses of Color Collective.
In this episode, they tackle the issue of racism in nursing and discuss aspects of this huge issue such as:
- Why it’s important we continue to have these uncomfortable conversations
- The failed coup at the Capitol and witnessing white supremacy on a national scale
- Identifying and working through our own biases
- Disparities in education beginning with children of color
