The legend of Alcatrazz goes without saying. The band has created some timeless music and sprouted a few of the most famous instrumentalists in the history of rock music. They are a tower of achievement, existing in the space few musical acts dwell.

Alcatrazz has existed, in one form or another, for 35 years, and tomorrow, the band will release their 5th album, the appropriately titled 5 or V, if you're Roman.

By the grace of God, I was given the opportunity to chat with iconic frontman, Doogie White, the face and voice of this classic transatlantic metal wonder. Doogie was all the things I crave in a conversation. He was funny, witty, clearly appreciative of his role in the band, and above all kind. Yes, that's a big deal. Doogie is proof that being prepared for the moment should still require one to be grateful for this life as well.
