Hey there surfers and beachgoers! This is your Northern and Central California surf zone forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service. Remember, always check with local authorities for any potential beach closures before heading out to catch those waves.

Starting with Sonoma and Marin County Coastal Areas:

Today, expect surf heights of 6 to 10 feet with mostly cloudy skies, rain, and a chance for thunderstorms. High temperatures will range from 54 to 64 degrees with a Northwest wind at 11 miles per hour. Tomorrow, get ready for a jump with surf heights reaching 15 to 19 feet on Northwest facing beaches and 6 to 10 feet on South facing beaches. The weather will be partly cloudy with slightly cooler temperatures and a lighter Northwest wind at 4 miles per hour.

Moving on to San Francisco and San Mateo County Coastal Areas:

Today, surf heights will be around 5 to 8 feet under cloudy skies and rain showers. Highs will be between 54 and 64 degrees with a Northwest wind at 13 miles per hour. Tomorrow, the surf will kick up with heights of 13 to 17 feet on West facing beaches and 6 to 9 feet on South facing beaches. Expect partly cloudy skies and cooler temperatures with a gentle Northwest wind at 5 miles per hour.

Now for Santa Cruz County Coastal Areas:

Today, surf heights will be 5 to 8 feet with cloudy skies and rain. Highs will range from 54 to 63 degrees with a Southerly wind increasing from 12 to 14 miles per hour. Tomorrow, surf heights will be 11 to 15 feet on Northwest facing beaches and 6 to 9 feet on South facing beaches. The weather will be partly cloudy with highs between 54 and 65 degrees and a Northwest wind at 8 miles per hour.

Lastly, in Monterey Bay and Big Sur Coastal Areas:

Today, expect surf heights of 4 to 7 feet on West facing beaches and 2 to 4 feet on South facing beaches with cloudy skies and rain. Highs will be between 54 and 65 degrees with a Southeast wind at 9 miles per hour increasing to 12 miles per hour. Tomorrow, surf heights will increase to 8 to 12 feet on Northwest facing beaches and 5 to 8 feet on South facing beaches with partly cloudy skies and highs of 53 to 65 degrees. The wind will shift to the Northeast at 3 miles per hour.
