Hey there, surfers and beachgoers! It's time for your Northern and Central California surf zone forecast straight from the National Weather Service.

Today in Sonoma and Marin County coastal areas, we've got a high surf advisory through 11 AM Saturday. Surf height at Northwest facing beaches is 14 to 18 feet, while Southwest facing beaches are at 6 to 9 feet. The weather is looking partly cloudy with a slight chance of sunshine, so grab your boards and hit the waves! High temperatures are forecasted between 50 and 61 degrees with a strong NW wind at 20 MPH, picking up to 24 MPH. Keep an eye on the tides - low tide at 2.0 feet and high tide at 6.7 feet.

Lastly, in Monterey Bay and Big Sur coastal areas, the high surf advisory remains until Saturday morning. Today, expect 9 to 13 feet waves at West facing beaches and 6 to 9 feet waves at South facing beaches. The weather will be partly cloudy with a chance of rain, so be prepared for some showers. High temperatures will range from 52 to 61 degrees with a NW wind at 13 MPH, increasing to 19 MPH. Tides are similar to Santa Cruz County.
