Nebraska's junior senator is not taking lying from the administration, well, lying down.

Senator Ben Sasse stood in the Senate and blasted his colleagues for their silence over the new revelation that the Obama administration had a "war room" designed to feed misinformation to the media, and thus deceive the American public regarding the Iran nuclear deal.

bensasse"There is little doubt our founders would be troubled by what is occurring in our time," Sen. Sasse said.

Sasse pointed a gaze squarely at Democratic members of the Senate who openly parroted the president's talking points.

"To my Democratic colleagues who supported the Iran deal," Sasse pointedly said, "Does it trouble you at all that the White House displays obvious contempt of you and for your voters and for my voters?"

Sasse also called out the members of the press who had reported the talking points and statements that were given to them by the Obama administration without doing due diligence to see if what they were reporting was actually true.

"Good journalism, serious journalism, that takes facts seriously and then grapples with those facts honestly is an important and a high calling," Sasse said.
