Description
Utah Senator Mike Lee wants to see the voters of America not just lay back and allow elected officials to placate them with long, droning speeches and pre-packed talking points....
show moreDuring an online town hall, Senator Lee told not only his constituents, but the American people, they need to be questioning our elected officials about their commitment to the nation's bedrock, the Constitution.
Senator-MIke-Lee (1)"Ask your members of Congress, ask your candidates for Congress, ask your candidates for President what they're doing to pass reform measures," Sen. Lee said. "To restore power to the lawmaking power to the branch that is in charge of lawmaking, which is Congress."
The comment appeared to be aimed at the Obama administration, which some say has flouted the Constitution with executive orders that violate the Constitutional separation of powers. In a later part of the town hall, Sen. Lee talked about the ways Congress can try to act to stop a president who ignores the Constitution with executive actions.
