Salmos 12:1‭-‬8 RVA2015:
Salva, oh SEÑOR, porque se han acabado los piadosos. Han desaparecido los fieles de entre los hijos del hombre. Cada uno habla falsedad con su prójimo, con labios lisonjeros; hablan con doblez de corazón. El SEÑOR destruirá todos los labios lisonjeros, la lengua que habla grandezas. Dijeron: “Por nuestra lengua prevaleceremos. Si nuestros labios están a nuestro favor, ¿quién más se hará nuestro señor?”. Dice el SEÑOR: “Por la opresión de los pobres, por el gemido de los necesitados me levantaré ahora. Los pondré a salvo del que se ensaña contra ellos”. Las palabras del SEÑOR son palabras puras como plata purificada en horno de tierra, siete veces refinada. Tú, oh SEÑOR, los guardarás. Guárdalos para siempre de esta generación. Los impíos andan alrededor, pero tú desprecias a los hijos del hombre.


En este salmo, el autor David se desahoga con Dios con un clamor de frustración porque él se da cuenta de que la gente mala hizo una estrategia para hacerle daño a la gente, y son las palabras que dañan, que destruyen. Son estrategias de engaño, son palabras que adulan con el fin de robar, destruir o matar.
Es la forma de utilizar una mentira disfrazada de verdad. Es una apariencia de piedad pero sus motivos reales son malignos. Es hacerse pasar como amigo, pero lo que busca es una oportunidad para traicionar y llevar a cabo su propósito malévolo. Así muchos logran estafar para obtener propiedades o bienes valiosos. Usurpan y ganan posiciones calumniando con sagacidad, dando el golpe fatal en el momento preciso.
Esta estrategia proviene del mismo infierno, diseñada por Satanás, él es el autor y maestro por excelencia del engaño usando el lenguaje. Esa fue su estrategia para engañar a Eva en el jardín del Edén. ¿Por qué Eva no tuvo miedo de Satanás? Porque él se presentó de forma elegante e interesante; usó palabras calculadas para llegar al corazón de Eva. Primero vio su debilidad y curiosidad y la engañó para que viera a Dios como un Dios egoísta que no quiere que sus hijos prosperen, y sutilmente él trastornó la verdad haciéndola pasar por mentira y la mentira por verdad. Al final, la palabra de Dios se cumplió y las consecuencias fueron mortales para Eva y Adán.

Ten cuidado con las palabras que son bonitas pero que el Espíritu de Dios te advierte que tengas cuidado.
En contraste, las palabras de Dios son comparadas a la plata que es pasada por el fuego siete veces. Este es el proceso que hace el joyero cuando desea sacar toda la impureza del metal. Asimismo son las palabras de Dios, totalmente puras y verdaderas. Él siempre cumple sus promesas.

No permitas que Satanás te aleje a ti de la verdad, abandonando tu hogar por un placer temporal que te va a guiar a la muerte, o ignorando el consejo de tus padres y que después llorarás por haber tomado alguna mala decisión por no hacer caso a sus consejos. Ten cuidado con los consejos de tus amigos que son inmaduros, que viven vidas desordenadas y que no obedecen a sus propios padres. Cuídate del mal comentario de tu vecina burlándose de ti e impulsándote a ser ruda, tosca con tu esposo.
Guarda tu mente, espíritu y corazón de las malas influencias, no importa qué tan bien usen con destreza las palabras, al final, tu conciencia te dirá si estás en el camino correcto o si te estás desviando hacia el mal. Como aprendimos ayer, mantén firme tus fundamentos, principios y convicciones bíblicas.

Considera:
¿Has sido víctima de estafa o traición por causa del engaño de alguna persona lisonjera?
¿Alguien se hizo pasar como tu amigo o un hermano en Cristo y te hizo creer con palabras que era alguien bueno pero sus acciones decían lo contrario?

September 27: Beware of flattering words.

Psalms 12:1-8:
Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases! For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men. They speak idly everyone with his neighbor; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak.
May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaks proud things, who have said, “With our tongue we will prevail; our lips are our own; who is lord over us?”
“For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now I will arise,” says the Lord; “I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.”
The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. You shall keep them, O Lord, You shall preserve them from this generation forever. The wicked prowl on every side, when vileness is exalted among the sons of men.


In this psalm, the author David ventures himself to God with a cry of frustration because he realizes that bad people made a strategy to hurt people, and it is the words that hurt, that destroy. They are strategies of deception, they are words that flatter in order to steal, destroy or kill.
It is the way to use a lie disguised as the truth. It is an appearance of pity but its real motives are evil. It is posing as a friend, but what he or she is looking for is an opportunity to betray and carry out their malevolent purpose. Thus many manage to scam to obtain valuable properties or assets. They usurp and gain positions by slandering sagaciously, striking the fatal blow at the precise moment.
This strategy comes from hell itself, designed by Satan, he is the author and master par excellence of deception using the language. That was his strategy to deceive Eve in the garden of Eden. Why was Eve not afraid of Satan? Because he presented himself in an elegant and interesting way; he used calculated words to reach Eva's heart. He first saw her weakness and curiosity and deceived her into seeing God as a selfish God who does not want His children to prosper, and he subtly overturned the truth by making them pass as lies and lies as truth. In the end, God's word was fulfilled and the consequences were deadly for Eve and Adam.

Be careful with words that are beautiful and that the Spirit of God warns you to watch out for.
In contrast, God's words are compared to silver that is passed through fire seven times. This is the process that the jeweler does when he wants to remove all the impurity from the metal. They are also the words of God, totally pure and true. He always keeps His promises.
Don't allow Satan to lead you away from the truth, leaving your home for a temporary pleasure that will lead you to death, or ignoring the advice of your parents that later you will cry for having made a bad decision by ignoring their advice. Beware of advice from your friends who are immature, live messy lives and don't obey their own parents. Beware of the bad comment of your neighbor making fun of you and urging you to be rude with your husband.
Guard your mind, spirit and heart from bad influences, no matter how well they skillfully use words, in the end your conscience will tell you if you are on the right path or if you are deviating towards evil. As we learned yesterday, stand firm to your biblical foundations, principles and convictions.

Consider this:
Have you been the victim of fraud or betrayal due to the deception of some flattering person?
Did someone pose as your friend or brother or sister in Christ and make you believe in words that they were good but their actions said otherwise?
