Your house knows best. Continuing Disney Channel Original Movie Month, we look at a film that was ahead of its time and is shockingly relevant in 2021: Smart House. Directed by LeVar Burton, it stars Ryan Merriman as a teenager who wins a computerized dream home for his family, and Katey Sagal as PAT, the house's AI, who tries a little too hard to ingratiate herself with the family that has moved in, with Kevin Kilner co-starring as the dad. It's similar to so many things, yet manages to be both entertaining and prescient. We dig into the film, its genuinely horrifying real-world implications, and Sagal's performance.
Scary Stories We Tell's Jess Byard joins Chris Stachiw, the Doctor of Podcasting, to talk Smart House, Katey Sagal, smart homes gone wrong, and so much more.
