Story Transcript:

Nb: En tidlig morgen, mens solen fortsatt sov, våknet Ole og Ingrid til den første snøen i fjellet.
En: One early morning, while the sun was still asleep, Ole and Ingrid woke up to the first snow in the mountains.

Nb: De bodde i et lite trehus i fjellet, en kort spasertur fra den koselige badstuen de elsket.
En: They lived in a small wooden house in the mountains, a short walk from the cozy sauna they loved.

Nb: "Ingrid, se!
En: "Ingrid, look!"

Nb: " utbrøt Ole mens han pekte ut vinduet.
En: exclaimed Ole as he pointed out the window.

Nb: Han pakket inn seg selv i en stor frakk og trakk støvletter på.
En: He bundled himself up in a big coat and put on his boots.

En: He quickly turned, ran out into the snow, and came back with a big, round snowball in his hands.

Nb: Ingrids øyne vokste store.
En: Ingrid's eyes grew wide.

Nb: "Hva skal du med den?
En: "What are you going to do with that?"

Nb: " spurte hun, og ristet på hodet.
En: she asked, shaking her head.

Nb: "Ikke noe, bare en liten overraskelse," svarte Ole med et lurt smil.
En: "Oh, nothing, just a little surprise," replied Ole with a mischievous smile.

Nb: Han kastet snøballen mot veggen, men den svingte av kurs.
En: He threw the snowball at the wall, but it veered off course.

Nb: Snøballen sprutet ut og traff Ingrid.
En: The snowball burst and hit Ingrid.

Nb: Hun skvatt og ga ut et overrasket skrik.
En: She jumped and let out a surprised scream.

Nb: Snøen smeltet umiddelbart, og Ingrid så ut som om hun nettopp hadde hoppet inn i et iskaldt basseng.
En: The snow instantly melted, and Ingrid looked as though she had just jumped into an icy cold pool.
