Social Injustice of Failed Cannabis Prohibition with Judge Jim Gray. Judge Gray received his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Southern California in 1971 and practiced law in both the public and private sectors until being named to the Santa Ana Municipal Court in 1983. Gray was then appointed as the presiding judge of the Superior Court of Orange County, California, by Governor George Deukmejian and served in that position from 1989 until 2009 when he retired from the bench. In 2004 Gray took a break from his duties as Judge and was the Libertarian candidate for the United States Senate in California.
