One of the loudest objections to flying saucer reality is that they can’t get here from other star systems. However, any study of technological progress shows that progress comes from doing differently in an unpredictable way. The future is NOT an extrapolation of the past. Careful investigation shows that trips to nearby stars in reasonable times are feasible with round trip times shorter than a man’s lifetime using nuclear fission and nuclear fusion.

Almost all the energy in the universe comes from nuclear fusion in the stars. A study for the USAF in 1962 showed that fusion would do the job, if we wanted to spend the money. In 1970 Los Alamos ground tested the Phoebus Fission propulsion system at a power level of 4000 megawatts, a hydrogen exhaust temperature over 4000 F and less than 8’ in diameter. At 1G acceleration it only takes a year to get to the speed of light. Einstein showed that time slows down for things moving at close to the speed of light. It won’t be cheap. It is exciting.
This presentation is from the 2018 Ozark Mountain UFO Conference.
