I Never Knew Love Like This Before is a song written and produced by songwriters James Mtume and Reggie Lucas for R&B recording artist Stephanie Mills' fourth studio album, "Sweet Sensation" in 1980. The song became Mills' biggest hit on the US Billboard Pop Singles chart, where it peaked at number 6, outperforming her previously highest chart single, "What Cha' Gonna Do With My Lovin' ", which peaked at number 22. Hmmm! I love that song too.

Anyway, I Never Knew Love is a beautiful song. When I first heard it, I loved it the minuet the music started, and when I heard Stephanie Mills, I loved her singing voice. I have never heard anyone sound like her. Stephanie Mills has a powerful voice. She has never stopped performing and is not unsung.

I heard Stephanie Mills in an interview once say, "I'm still recording..."
And while singing I heard her say, "I came here to sing for ya."
