The Kingdom of Israel after Solomon's death is prophesied by God to be stripped away from the line of Solomon. King Rehoboam is faced with demands from his people led by Jeroboam. When he refuses to meet those demands against the advice of the elders, Rehoboam looses the Kingdom of Israel and the country is split. Rehoboam remains the King of the southern part including the tribes of Judah and Benjamin, but learns a very hard lesson in the process from God.
