Story Transcript:

He: בבוקר המוקדם, תל אביב התעוררה לימים חדשים. יעל ואבי, צעירים ומלאים באנרגיה, נקי כשוחי הכמה שלהם. תל אביב, המלכה של החוף, מנטרת את בני נועוריה באופן טבעי.
En: In the early morning, Tel Aviv woke up to new days. Ya'el and Avi, young and full of energy, pure as their sandy beach. Tel Aviv, the queen of the coast, nurtures its youth naturally.

He: אבייייייי, קראה יעל, מתוך החדר הפתוח הוא שמע את קולה. בא לך חומוס? אבי, שהיה באמצע שיחתו עם מאור, חברו מהילדות, חייך והסכים.
En: Aviiii," called Ya'el, and from the open room he heard her voice. "Do you want hummus?" Avi, who was in the middle of his call with Ma'or, his childhood friend, smiled and agreed.

He: בערפלית של הבוקר, הם הגיעו לחומוסיה הנמוכה המופשטת. שום לא היה באוויר, וחצצים הכביש החום נמלטו למרכז ההיסטוריה של תל אביב. בחומוסיה, רב המרהיב עם השיער האשכנזי שלו ישב להם. הוא התבונן בתפריט ומילא את השקט בהומור.
En: In the morning haze, they arrived at the simple hummus place. Garlic scent filled the air, and cars on the hot road escaped to the heart of Tel Aviv's history. In the hummus place, the marvelous man with his Ashkenazi hair sat next to them. He looked at the menu and filled the silence with humor.

He: "אשמח לפלאפל, הומוס, ו... בשר חזיר!" הוא הזמין בהתלהבות, מבלי להבין את השגיאה. כולם, יעל, אבי, והמשאית ננעלו בחרדה. אבי הוציא את החום רק כדי להזכיר לרב, "רבנו, אנו בערב שבת. אתה בטוח שביקשת חזיר?"
En: "I would like falafel, hummus, and... pork!" he enthusiastically ordered, without realizing the mistake. Everyone, Ya'el, Avi, and even the truck froze in shock. Avi spoke up just to remind the man, "Rabbi, it's Friday evening. Are you sure you want pork?"

He: מעט נבוך, מבין שהוא השגה, הרב התנצל, "אה, אני מתנצל. כנראה שאני קצת מבולבל..."
En: A bit embarrassed, realizing his mistake, the rabbi apologized, "Oh, I'm sorry. I must be a bit confused..."

He: במהלך האכילה, הם שוחחו וצחקו, מקללים את החוסר ההזמן של המרכז. המלחמה האישית הקטנה שלהם, המאבק שלהם להתמצא במרכז, הסתיים בניצחון. הם הבינו שחיים בעיר הגדולה המורכבת, גם הם לפעמים יעשו טעויות. וזה בסדר. בסוף היום, העיסה הנדחסה שלהם תמיד הייתה שם בשבילם.
En: During the meal, they talked and laughed, cursing the center's disorganization. Their small personal struggle to find their place in the center ended in victory. They understood that living in the complex big city, they too sometimes make mistakes. And that's okay. At the end of the day, their thick dough was always there for them.

He: ויעל ואבי, ברוך השם, הצליחו ליהנות מהחומוס המוכן בקפידה והממלחים של תל אביב.
En: Ya'el and Avi, thank God, managed to enjoy the carefully prepared hummus and the saltiness of Tel Aviv.
