show moreThe writing duo were the first to make The Bloodlist three years in a row with: The Last Will and Testament of Charles Abernathy (2018) now headed to Netflix as an original, which was also named to The Hit List; The Red Pill (2017); and Soul Mates (2016) which also made The Hit List and originally sold to producer Mark Burg (SAW 1-9). Soul Mates is currently set at Voltage Pictures with Alejandro Brugues (Pooka Lives) directing.
In 2017, Joe directed the short Be Mine for Crypt TV. Joe's award-winning short, Take-Out, appeared as a featured segment in the horror anthology feature film Dark Deadly & Dreadful, released on Amazon in 2018.
Joe produced the horror anthology feature, Nightmare Cinema, which was released by Shudder in June 2019 after headlining over thirty festivals worldwide. The film stars Academy Award Nominee Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler), with segments from acclaimed filmmakers, including Joe Dante (Gremlins) and David Slade (American Gods). The movie was selected by Entertainment Weekly as one of "2019's Best Horror Films" and nominated for "Best Picture Limited Release" by Fangoria Magazine and "Best Anthology Feature" by Rue Morgue Magazine.
Joe is producing several upcoming projects with studios like Netflix, MGM and Skydance, including the "Hulk Hogan" biopic, directed by Todd Phillips (Joker).
Joe also produces the podcast series Post Mortem with Mick Garris, featuring in-depth conversations with genre legends like Stephen King, John Carpenter, Guillermo del Toro and many more.
Joe also co-host's another podcast called Hollywood Hangover with fellow filmmaker Christopher Price.
We chat about his journey to Hollywood, his relationship with Mick Garris and the lessons he has taken from some of the greatest minds in the industry, his fav horror movies and much more!
