El: Υπό την αστροφεγγιά, σ' έναν δρόμο της παλιάς πόλης, βρισκόταν η ταβέρνα "Το Κρυφό Θησαυροφυλάκιο", ένας χώρος με την ψυχή της θάλασσας και την καρδιά της παράδοσης.
En: Under the starlight, on a street in the old city, there was the tavern "The Secret Treasure House", a place with the soul of the sea and the heart of tradition.

El: Εκεί εμφανίζεται ο Δημήτριος.
En: There appeared Dimitrios.

El: Ένας ανθρωπος από την επαρχία με ζουμερό κέφι και μια άσκημη προφορά.
En: A man from the countryside with a lively spirit and an unpleasant accent.

El: Καθίστηκε σ' ένα απίστροφο τραπεζάκι, τα μάτια του περιήγησαν στο μαγευτικό μενού που κρατούσε στα χέρια του.
En: He sat at an inverted table, his eyes wandered over the enchanting menu that he held in his hands.

El: Βαθυστόναγε μερικές στιγμές, γιατί αν και ήταν πεινασμένος, δεν καταλάβαινε καλά τα ονόματα των πιάτων.
En: He pondered for a few moments, because although he was hungry, he couldn't understand the names of the dishes well.

El: Κατέληξε σ' ένα πιάτο, το όνομα του οποίου βρήκε δυσαρεστώς προκλητικό: Την «Σουζουρούκαραβομυζηθροτυρόπιτα».
En: He settled on a dish, the name of which he unfortunately found provocative: the "Suzurukaravomyzithrotyropita" (Cheese Pie Stuffed with Octopus and Zucchini).

El: Καλέσε τον σερβιτόρο και προσπάθησε να παραγγείλει.
En: He called the waiter and tried to order.

El: "Μια... Δυσούρωυκαρραβο...
En: "One... Dusouroukarrav... No... one dusourra...

El: Όχι... μια δυσούρρα... Συγνώμη, λοιπόν, μήπως μπορώ να έχω μια Σο... Σουζού... Σουζουρο...Σουζουρούκαραβο... Χμμμ..." Πάνω που αρχίζει να απογοητεύεται, το χαμόγελο του σερβιτόρου του δίνει κουράγιο να συνεχίσει.
En: Excuse me, then, can I have a So... Suzu... Suzurou... Suzuroukaravo... Hmmm..." Just as he was starting to get disappointed, the smile of the waiter gave him the courage to continue.

El: Και ξεκίνησε μια χιουμοριστική διαδικασία επανάληψης και διόρθωσης, μία "μάχη" ανάμεσα στην πείνα του Δημητρίου και την δυσκολία της προφοράς.
En: And so began a humorous process of repetition and correction, a "battle" between Dimitrios' hunger and the difficulty of pronunciation.

El: Τελικά, ιδρώντας και γελώντας, κατάφερε ακούγοντας τον εαυτό του να προφέρει τη λέξη ολόκληρη.
En: Eventually, sweating and laughing, he managed, by hearing himself, to pronounce the word correctly.

El: Αυτή η ξεκαρδιστική συζήτηση μετατράπηκε σε γενική θέαση, με όλους τους άλλους επισκέπτες να γελούν και να παρακολουθούν.
En: This hilarious conversation turned into a spectacle, with all the other guests laughing and watching.
