Welcome to “The Grateful Artist Podcast”. I’m Stephanie Paige, artist and author, and I’m here with my cohost, Evan Griffith- writer, art gallery owner for 30 years and someone who knows a thing or two about coming back stronger when life pushes you away.

Today, we’re diving into a theme that’s been on our minds a lot lately, The Comeback Kid. We’ll talk about how many creatives, artists, writers, and dreamers, sometimes step away from their craft, only to find that their greatest growth comes after the pause. I’ve seen it countless times: artists who take a break and come back with fresh clarity, new energy, and often, their best work yet. But the journey isn’t smooth, and sometimes, that break can feel endless.

We’ll explore the steps we believe can help anyone with a creative pause, recognizing that a break is part of the process, revisiting your “why,” and letting go of old limiting beliefs. And we’ll share stories and insights that help you leave behind doubts, fears, and stories that keep you stuck. Most importantly, it’s about starting small again, and building momentum toward your next big breakthrough.

And to kick it off, Evan will share an inspiring quote from Celeste Headlee: "Humans need regular breaks. We don’t persist; we pulse." It’s all about rhythm, finding your natural pulse and trusting that it will carry you forward. Get ready to embrace the art of the comeback, because, when you stay true to your path, magic happens.
