Ornery versus honesty. My father used to tell at us, "Stop being On-ree! I'll take my belt off!" On-ree? On-ree was how I learned to say it. Not ornery! It's like these two words "A lot and A little." Most people spell them "Alot and Alittle." That's not the way its supposed to be. What about the word "Aint." It's not a word. Here's where we get serious. If this is the way its always been done then why are people trying to change me? Put that into our present place in history.
