This isn’t America anymore

Walk not far, a promise is not a guarantee. Even if it were, we’re in breach. Therefore, loyalty doesn’t save your job… the interest rate is over five percent. He said, she said, we wish—until it was washed away by September 11th. We live in a society where tomorrow may bring dreams that fall into tiny pieces alongside a road—visions become septic tanks of impossibility fed by streams of silent demands placed upon yourself—knowing full well that life has put you on hold, and when you resurface…what you once held can be nothing more than a memory.
