Certain Jews appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. did not serve his gods or worship the golden image that he set up.
Nebuchadnezzar in furious rage commanded that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to be brought before him.
Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with fury, He ordered the furnace heated seven times more than it was usually heated. And he ordered them cast into the burning fiery furnace.
Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished he saw four men unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.”
Then Nebuchadnezzar declared, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here!”
They came out from the fire. And he saw that the fire had not had any power over the bodies of those men. The hair of their heads was not singed, their cloaks were not harmed, and no smell of fire had come upon them.

When King Darius was deceived by sign a decree that would cause Daniel to be thrown into the lion's den. And a stone was placed over the mouth of the den.
However, the next morning early he ran to the den and called out to Daniel in anguish: Daniel, servant of the living God! Was your God, whom you serve so faithfully, able to rescue you from the lions?” Daniel 6:20
My God sent his angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they would not hurt me, for I have been found innocent in his sight. And I have not wronged you, Your Majesty.
Daniel 6:22

God wanted to show compassion the people of Nineveh and give them the opportunity to turn from evil and serve HIM Created and loved them.
God commanded Jonah to go to Nineveh, but He sailed away from Nineveh. And the Lord hurled a great wind upon the sea, and there was a mighty tempest on the sea, so that the ship threatened to break up.
Then the mariners were afraid, and each cried out to his god. Finally, Jonah convinced the crew the throwing overboard. And when they did the storm stop and the Lord appointed a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. Jonah 1:17
Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the fish, “When my life was fainting away, I remembered the Lord, and my prayer came to you, into your holy temple.
But I with the voice of thanksgiving will sacrifice to you; what I have vowed I will pay. Salvation belongs to the Lord!”
And the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah out upon the dry land. Jonah 2:7, 9-10
So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, a three-day journey in extent.
And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day’s walk. Then he cried out and said, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown! Jonah 3:1-4
So the people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them. Jonah 3:5
When God saw what they did, how they turned from their evil way, God relented of the disaster that he had said he would do to them, and he did not do it. Jonah 3:10
