The Pope Lick Monster Is a cryptid believed to live at a train trestle over Pope Lick River in Kentucky. The creature is described as a Goatman with light skin, dark hair, horns and carries an axe. It mimics human voices, luring unsuspecting victims onto the high trestle by calling out to them in the voice of a loved one or crying. Multiple fatalities have occurred over the years from thrill seekers and Goatman enthusiasts. The bridge trestle is approximately nine-stories (90ft.) high and is a rickety 800 ft. long bridge. It’s actively used by Norfolk Southern Railroad and is private property – fenced in and posted with signs, warning people to stay out. The legend of the Pope Lick Monster has been a source of trauma for many victims, families, and railroad employees.

On this episode of "A Glitch in the Matrix," Jessica explores the Pope Lick Monster, Goatmen, and the conjuring of cryptids with Dr. Dennis Carroll.
