Dr. Lathania Butler:
"We make tools and we use tools. The moment we start looking to tools to fill ANY relational need, we are setting ourselves up to commit the most age old form of idolatry. So when we read the Old Testament and think it’s ridiculous that people are worshiping golden calfs or wooden figures, we should think about ourselves and how we are engaging with materials that are meant to be tools- like phones and chatbots." -Dr Lathania Butler

Lathania is a public policy expert turned data practitioner. She loves to nerd out on economic ideas and artificial intelligence strategies but is also deeply committed to promoting justice and truth in the world. She has followed Jesus for 18 years on winding paths and to miraculous places, and now regularly meets Him in playtime with her daughter and son who she shares with her husband, Davonte.

Lathania has her B.A. in Neuroscience, a master’s degree in Public Administration, and her PhD in Public Policy Analysis (The Ohio State University).
Lathania has been a member of Vineyard Columbus for over 13 years
