Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the Academy Awards this year and it caused a stir. I wasn't immune to the lively discussion online. I shared my own opinions which were spoken mostly out of emotion. As such a lot of nuance and context wasn't expressed. I am black. I am female bodied. I am a stand up comedian. The slap hit me in a particular type of way and in this impromptu episode I finally address the issue fully from my own perspective. My perspective isn't the only perspective. But it is a perspective.
