Raleigh-Durham continues to show strong momentum in job growth, with a variety of positions recently posted across industries such as technology, healthcare, education, and manufacturing. In the last seven days, employers in the Triangle have ramped up hiring efforts, reflecting both the region’s economic resilience and its appeal to job seekers.

Tech companies remain a driving force in the local job market. Cisco Systems has multiple listings in Research Triangle Park, including openings for software engineers, cybersecurity analysts, and network architects. Red Hat, headquartered in downtown Raleigh, is hiring project managers and IT consultants, with an emphasis on hybrid roles that support flexible work arrangements. IBM also posted several new technical roles, including positions in cloud solutions and artificial intelligence.

Healthcare continues to be a top employment sector. UNC Health and Duke Health have both announced an uptick in hiring. UNC Health is currently recruiting for registered nurses, respiratory therapists, and clinical analysts across its Chapel Hill and Raleigh facilities. Duke Health is looking to fill roles in patient services, lab technology, and nursing, offering competitive sign-on bonuses for specialized positions.

The education sector is also actively hiring. Wake County Public School System recently posted openings for teachers in math, science, and special education. School counselors and support staff roles are also available, many with immediate start dates. Similarly, Durham Public Schools is looking to hire instructional assistants and bus drivers, reflecting increased demand ahead of the upcoming school term.

The biotech and pharmaceutical sectors are growing. Biogen has posted several openings for manufacturing associates and quality control analysts at its RTP facility. Grifols, a global healthcare leader with operations in Clayton, is seeking lab technicians and compliance specialists. These roles often require technical certifications, but many offer on-the-job training to attract a broader range of applicants.

Manufacturing and skilled trades are another bright spot. John Deere is hiring for mechanical assemblers and maintenance technicians at its Cary location. Siemens Energy, located in Wendell, has posted new positions for machinists and electrical engineers. These roles typically offer strong benefits packages and opportunities for advancement.

For those looking for entry-level roles or customer-facing positions, retailers and hospitality businesses are hiring at a steady pace. Wegmans in Raleigh recently posted openings for cashiers, deli clerks, and management trainees. Hotels like the Durham Hilton and the AC Hotel by Marriott are hiring for front desk agents, housekeeping staff, and event coordinators in anticipation of the busy summer season.

Local startups are also contributing to the hiring wave. Several new tech and green energy firms based in co-working spaces across Raleigh and Durham have posted roles for marketing specialists, business analysts, and software developers. These jobs typically attract recent graduates and remote-friendly candidates, adding to the area’s appeal for young professionals.

Remote and hybrid roles are increasingly in demand, and employers are responding. Many job postings now highlight flexible work options, technology stipends, and wellness benefits as part of the compensation package. Companies across sectors are realizing that attracting top talent requires offering more than just a competitive salary.

With thousands of new postings added this past week, job seekers in the Raleigh-Durham area are seeing a wide range of opportunities. Whether you're an experienced professional or just entering the workforce, the local market features a dynamic mix of openings worth exploring.
