show moreAlready, the political atmosphere is charged with anticipation and scrutiny. Despite the criticisms that have emerged from various political parties regarding the electoral process, including concerns about procedural lapses and calls for boycotts, the election will proceed as scheduled.
An estimated 2.5 million voters are set to participate in the election across 21 local governments, 326 wards, and 4,608 polling units. The deployment of non-sensitive election materials has begun ensuring that everything is in place for a smooth electoral process. This election will see participation from 9 political parties, with security personnel deployed to maintain order and ensure a peaceful voting environment. 5720 adhoc staff will also be deployed for the exercise.
