Veniamo da un weekend di doppio PPV, in cui la WWE ha messo in scena Payback che ha visto Becky Lynch e Seth Rollins primeggiare su Trish Stratus e Shinsuke Nakamura e il Judgment Day conquistare i titoli di coppia, e la AEW fare un double up e dopo All In proporci All Out, in cui Konosuke Takeshita ha battuto Kenny Omega, il Bullet Club Gold ha battuto FTR e Young Bucks e Jon Moxley ha infine posto la parola fine al regno di Orange Cassidy. Ma pur con due PPV agli archivi, la notizia della settimana è inevitabilmente il licenziamento di CM Punk, il cui contratto è stato rescisso dalla AEW dopo i recenti fatti di All In.
