We are back in the new year of 2024 and so too is unbeaten Vergil Ortiz in a Golden Boy/Las Vegas main event that we'll go over and more on the "Big Fight Weekend Preview Podcast."

The lede is Ortiz coming back from health issues and moving up in weight to 154 lbs. to fight veteran Fredrick Lawson in a scheduled 12 rounder. Ortiz does have 19 KOs in his 19-0 start and fans are anxious to see him back, as he's only fought one fight in 2 1/2 years.

The guys then go over some news involving the official announcement that Teofimo Lopez will defend his 140 lb. world title on the Thursday night of Super Bowl weekend wtih unbeaten Keyshawn Davis fighting in the co-main event.

Also, Tyson Fury has decided to focus on his training for this undsputed titel fight with Oleksandr Usyk late next month by already heading to Saudi Arabia. And, U.S. heavyweight Jarrell Miller is in trouble with the law in Florida for a Tuesday incident trying to illegally take his truck back and allegedly assaulted an employee before being found and arrested.

Finally, there's some great nostalgia with T.J. quizzing Dan on his takes about legends like Pernell Whitaker and how he would have fared agaisnt Floyd Mayweather, but also how would Mayweather have done against other legends like Julio Cesar Chavez and Roberto Duran?
