In this episode Kelly speaks with Katie Fahey, the founder and president of Voters Not Politicians, a bipartisan ballot question committee in Michigan, that has collected enough signatures (over 315,654 valid signatures in 180 days) to add a question to the 2018 Michigan ballot to amend Michigan’s constitution to place an Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission in charge of redistricting. In this way, they hope to use the power of volunteer organizers and citizens to end gerrymandering in Michigan.
