On this episode of The Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman brings you the press conference of Wardruna live from Hellfest in France.

Wardruna kicks off this press conference by stating that if he could have any band play one of his songs, he would want Mozart to play fields of the Nephilim but Mozart style.

Wardruna speaks about how music has changed since before the pandemic until now. Wardruna mentions how he had a lot of upcoming tours and an album coming out that he needed to post-pone because of the pandemic and production closing down. Wardruna talks about dealing with the disappointment the pandemic brought but how there were some good things to come out of it such as being able to work in a healthier way. Wardruna mentions how there’s more than just creating albums and putting on live performances to being in a band and how it was nice to be able to just focus on recording the music from home.

Wardruna discuss working on music for Assassin's Creed and how he has been asked to work on several music games but how he is quite picky on what he agrees to work on as it has to feel right and feel like he can do it justice.

Wardruna talk about the live stream concert they done during the lockdown and how they hadn’t been able to be in the same room for a year so performing together again gave them a lot of musical energy. Wardruna also mentions how having no audience was a different but fun experience despite being super happy to be back doing live performances.

Towards the end of the press conference Wardruna speak about how it feels to perform a late mainstage lot after big metal headline upss and how he approaches gigs like this no differently to if he were performing in a small venue. Wardruna states that his performances are about becoming one with the music, surroundings and the people who are there.
