Starting off in the Bistro Cafe, Trump lied to America, with a straight face, it was the insurrectionist mob who were assaulted on January 6, not the cops.

Then, on the rest of the menu, the Military is abandoning recruiting efforts at a prestigious Black engineering event, turning down access to a key pool of highly qualified potential applicants amid Trump's purge; twenty-seven religious groups sued the Trump administration to protect houses of worship from immigration raids; and, the Trump loyalty test for federal intelligence and law enforcement candidates order “yes” or “no” responses to the questions: Was January 6 “an inside job?” And was the 2020 presidential election “stolen?”

After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where Kosovo’s governing party won the parliamentary election but without a majority to govern alone; and, a federal court blocked the Trump administration from renditioning Venezuelan immigrants held in New Mexico to the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba.

All that and more, on West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy with Chef de Cuisine Justice Putnam.

Bon Appétit!

“As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy and to make plans.” -- Ernest Hemingway "A Moveable Feast"
