This June marks the 40th anniversary of Prince’s Purple Rain album and film. The album has gone on to sell 25 million copies and counting.

In Prince and Purple Rain, Andrea Swensson, a Minneapolis-based journalist and host/co-producer of Prince | Official Podcast, takes a deep dive into the legendary musician’s most famous album on its 40th anniversary and she’s here to share some of what’s inside the book, her memories of first hearing the album, her thoughts on it 40 years later and so much more.
