The next episode of the MondAI bAIgel podcast where we welcome an esteemed guest, Professor Martin Ebers - an authority in IT law, President of the Robotics & AI Law Society (RAILS), Professor of IT Law at the University of Tartu. In 2022, Martin was awarded a prestigious grant from the Wallenberg Foundation to conduct research on “Private Rule-making and European Governance of AI and 4Robotics”.

In this episode, we dive deep into the latest draft of the AI Act, a seminal piece of legislation that will have far-reaching implications on the European regulation on AI. We appreciate the risk-based approach taken in the draft, yet raise concerns about the minimal limitations in areas outside of high risk. Furthermore, we explore the lack of substantial provisions on generative AI, a burgeoning field with immense potential and unique challenges. We also delve into the procedural aspects of this draft, shedding light on the practicalities and real-world implications of the proposed regulation. Finally we discuss if GPT is compliant with the draft.
