Nb: I midten av vinteren i Oslo, i den store parken ved rådhuset, skjer alt.
En: In the middle of winter in Oslo, in the big park by the city hall, everything happens.

Nb: Det er her Lars, en munter mann i trettiårene, tilbringer sine fritid på isen.
En: It is here that Lars, a cheerful man in his thirties, spends his free time on the ice.

Nb: Han liker å endre på skøyter.
En: He likes to skate around.

Nb: Han har med seg Ingrid, en gammel venn.
En: He is accompanied by Ingrid, an old friend.

Nb: Hun har aldri vært på isen før.
En: She has never been on the ice before.

Nb: "Lars, er det ikke farlig?
En: "Lars, isn't it dangerous?"

Nb: " spurte Ingrid, en smule nervøst.
En: Ingrid asked, somewhat nervously.

Nb: "Bare se på, Ingrid!
En: "Just watch, Ingrid!"

Nb: " sa Lars med et smil.
En: Lars said with a smile.

Nb: Han begynte å skøyte, smidig som en profesjonell skøyteløper.
En: He began skating, smoothly like a professional skater.

Nb: Han syntes å danse på isen.
En: He seemed to dance on the ice.

Nb: Ingrid så på, litt imponert.
En: Ingrid watched, a little impressed.

Nb: Plutselig skjer det.
En: Suddenly, it happens.

Nb: Lars setter foten feil.
En: Lars places his foot wrong.

Nb: Han snubler.
En: He trips.

Nb: Han faller.
En: He falls.

Nb: Oi, det gjorde vondt!
En: Ouch, that hurt!

Nb: "Lars, går det bra med deg?
En: "Lars, are you alright?"

Nb: " ropte Ingrid.
En: Ingrid shouted.

Nb: Hun løp bort til ham, men slipper på isen.
En: She ran towards him, but slips on the ice.

Nb: Hun falt også.
En: She fell too.

Nb: Lars reiste seg opp.
En: Lars stood up.

Nb: Han lo.
En: He laughed.

Nb: "Ja, jeg tror det," sa han.
En: "Yes, I think so," he said.

Nb: "Ingrid, det ser ut som vi begge har mye å lære.
En: "Ingrid, it looks like we both have a lot to learn."

Nb: " Ingrid reiste seg opp og lo.
En: Ingrid stood up and laughed.

Nb: "Ja, vi starter sammen," sa hun.
En: "Yes, let's start together," she said.

Nb: "Hvem vet, kanskje vi blir proffene til neste år!
En: "Who knows, maybe we'll become pros by next year!"

Nb: "Til slutt, begge gikk for å hente en kopp varm kakao.
En: In the end, they both went to get a cup of hot cocoa.

Nb: Det var en dag de aldri ville glemme.
En: It was a day they would never forget.

Nb: De lærte at de kunne ha det gøy selv når ting ikke gikk som planlagt.
En: They learned they could have fun even when things didn't go as planned.

Nb: Fra den dagen av, gikk de ofte på skøyter, og falt mindre hver gang.
En: From that day on, they often went ice skating and fell less each time.

Nb: De ble hjulpet av hverandre, og lærte sammen.
En: They helped each other and learned together.

Nb: De lo, de falt, de stod opp igjen.
En: They laughed, they fell, they got back up again.
