The Christian church is, too often, afraid of this topic. They address it with defensiveness, apprehension, and often, misguided theology. Culture is reeling in despair and isolation and yet rather than saying, ”work is the remedy – it will provide you the purpose that provides hope, meaning, and dignity!” – both the world and the church shout, “let’s take a little more me-time and put the brakes on this career ambition stuff!”
