Today we’re going to go back in history on EPS. Today’s topic: World B. Free. A retired incredible shooter in the NBA known as the “ Prince of Mid-Air”.

Hi! I’m Gail Nobles. We’re going to go look back at World B. He is a retired American professional basketball player who played in the (NBA) from 1975 to 1988. Free was known as the "Prince of Mid-Air", "Brownsville Bomber", and most often as "All-World".

Free played for the San Diego Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers and Houston Rockets in the NBA. He got his name from his days in Brooklyn, where a friend nicknamed him "World" because of his 44-inch vertical leap and 360 degree dunks. Free was known for his "rainbow" jump shots, referring to the extreme arch of the ball during the shot. He was also known for taking high risk shots and playing flamboyantly.

Lloyd Bernard Free was free’s real name. He once said, “You know I just try to come out there and give them my all in all…. You know a great team like Philadelphia came in here and we were flat. We beat them here and now we're on the road to Chicago. It gives us a big lift right now."
