The Guilty (2021)
Jake Gyllenhaal gives an extraordinary performance as Joe Baylor, a cop with serious behaviour problems. He finds himself temporarily doing 911 duty. The most unpleasant protagonist you’ve ever rooted for. This remake of a 2018 Danish film is directed by Antoine Fuquas and will have you on the edge of your seat. Gyllenhaal more than delivers!!

Cruella (2021)
A very fashionable villain indeed! This film is the back story behind the infamous Cruella de Vil from the book “101 Dalmatians”. Emma Stone and Emma Thompson are highly entertaining as two villainous antagonists in this crime comedy. The costume design is Academy Award worthy and the music is awesome.

Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
The 25th film from the Marvel Universe is a Kung Fu marvel (no pun intended). Simu Liu, Awkwafina and the solid Tony Leung star in this latest Marvel release. Shang Chi must face the past that he left behind. Now he must confront his dysfunctional family especially his power obsessed father. The choreography is so dazzling sometimes I would forget the story line.

Old (2021)
This is a must see for M Night Shyamalan fans, like myself. Based on a French Graphic novel about a family who are on a tropical vacation. They find themselves on a beautiful secluded beach where things begin to take a sinister turn. Things get very weird fast as everyone begins to age at an alarming rate. This beautifully shot film will give you food for thought.
