Sometimes it's easier to hold on to the past not realizing its effects on the present. We get caught up in the persona we are supposed to adopt and lose our identity when obstacles present themselves. Life is full of challenges and if we're still clinging to yesterday's hurts and failures then this shapes our present and distorts our future. As men we must reject memories that do not work for us, they are there for a lesson and not to dwell on. Attaching ourselves to a limited idea of who we are supposed to be does not enable to us to adapt when change is necessary.
