She sat down with Devex on the sidelines of the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference in Sharm-el- Sheikh, Egypt, to talk about the need for cities to have greater ownership on climate action.
Aki-Sawyerr is vice chair of C40 Cities, an organization of 96 cities focused on reducing emissions and helping their populations adapt to climate change.
