Starting in the 1950’s, Bert was a groundbreaking commercial photographer who is often credited with completely changing the way in which photography was used in advertising. Simultaneously, his photography of actors and entertainers became the stuff of legend collaborating with a wide range of performers such as Sophia Loren, Barbara Streisand, Elizabeth Taylor and many more. He may be most associated with the over 2,400 images he made with Marilyn Monroe just three weeks before her passing. Shannah shares insights about their mentor and muse relationship over decades as well as the documentary “Bert Stern: Original Mad Man” she wrote and directed about him.

Jean's work has been featured in such prestigious institutions as The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, the Smithsonian and the Baseball Hall of Fame.
