4 JAN 2024 · Jesus raised the dead, helped blind Bartimaeus, calmed the storm, flipped the tables of the Pharisees, was raised from the dead himself, and watched people put their money in the offering. He watched what they were doing. This may seem strange to note after the long list of incredible things the Bible records about Jesus. Yet Jesus made mention of a widow who gave a few coins…she gave all she had. We never hear what happened to this widow after that, but we do know that God saw her sacrifice! End of story.

So often we do things for God to show everyone else how good we are. But when we see this story of the widow who gave all she had, it may seem incomplete because we don’t know the end. However, for God it was enough. As we begin this new year, 2024, I encourage you with one thing. If you focus on giving Him your all, that is enough. Let’s focus on what matters this year. Start today. Give all.
