    28 JUN 2024 · We have 5 battles this week starting out with the battle of Allatoona on October 5th, 1894 which started out the Franklin-Nashville Campaign.   The battle of Tom's Brook took place on October 9th as part of the Shenandoah Campaign.   The last three battles all take place as part of Price's Missouri Expedition. Price is hoping to draw troops away from the major campaigns out east. The capture of Sedalia was on October 15th, the battle of Glasgow was also the 15th, and the second battle of Lexington took place October 19th.     Marianna | Chaffin's Farm | Peebles' Farm | First Saltville

    23 JUN 2024 · This week we start out with a battle in Florida in one of the last cities held by the Confederates. On September 27th, 1864, Union Cavalry attacked Marianna, FL which resulted in the battle of Marianna.   Next up, Grant sets up a dual assault on the rebels on both of Robert E. Lee's flanks. The first and eastern assault was the battle of Chaffin's Farm on September 29th-30th.  The western portion was the battle of Peebles' Farm on September 30th-October 2nd.   Our last battle was in Saltville, VA where the Union attempted to take the town and stop the Confederate supply of salt.     Fisher's Hill | Sulphur Creek Trestle | Fort Davidson

    14 JUN 2024 · Another week, another 3 battles! First up is the battle of Fisher's Hill on September 21-22, 1864 as part of the Valley Campaigns. Union Mj. Gen Philip Sheridan and Confederate Lt. Gen. Jubal Early are facing off once again.   The second battle of the episode is the battle of Sulphur Creek Trestle fought near Athens, Alabama from September 23-25. Confederate Nathan Bedford Forrest leads his troops in northern Alabama to disrupt William T. Sherman's supply line.   Our final battle is the battle of Fort Davidson on September 27th in Missouri.     1 JUN 2024 · It's the final battle in the Atlanta Campaign as Sherman's Union Army looks to finally take the city. The battle of Jonesborough took place August 31–September 1, 1864, and resulted in the only time a frontal assault by the Union was successful.     Second Memphis | Summit Point | Second Ream's Station | Smithfield Station

    24 MAY 2024 · This week we another 4 battles, but also another short episode. At the second battle of Memphis, August 21st, 1864, Confederate Maj. Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest raid the Union held city of Memphis. Also August 21st, it's the battle of of Summit Point, West Virginia as the second battle of the Shenandoah Valley Campaign. We head back to the Siege of Petersburg on August 25th where the Union attempt to destroy the Petersburg Railroad, which was a vital supply line for Robert E. Lee and his army. Finally, we end with another battle in the Shenandoah Valley Campaign with the battle of Smithfield Crossing on August 25th-29th where Philip Sheridan and his army are still trying to get Jubal Early under control. It's the battle of Guard Hill, the battle of Gainesville, the battle of Globe's Tavern, and the battle of Lovejoy's Station. All of these take place between August 16th-20th, 1864. First up, it's the small battle of Utoy Creek on August 4th-7th, 1864 of the Atlanta Campaign where Union troops attempt to damage rail lines.   The battle of Moorefield occurred August 7th near Moorefield, West Virginia where Jubal Early is still causing trouble.   Then it's the small battles of Second Dalton and Second Deep Bottom.     26 APR 2024 · Coming up this week, we have 3 battles. One from the Atlanta Campaign, one from the Siege Of Petersburg, and one in Dakota Territory against the Sioux.   First up, on July 28th, 1864, in Fulton County, GA, it's the battle of Ezra Church where the Atlanta Campaign continues.   Our second battle is the battle of Killdeer Mountain in Dakota Territory on July 28th-29th. Union BG Alfred Sully lead an expedition against the Sioux in what was the largest ever carried out against Native Americans by the U.S.   Finally, our third battle is the Battle Of The Crater on July 30th.
