JOHANN MERRICH
Organizzatrice di suoni, Johann Merrich si occupa di divulgazione musicale e dedica le sue ricerche alla storia della sperimentazione elettronica con particolare attenzione al ruolo delle donne. Ha pubblicato per Arcana il libro "Breve storia della musica elettronica e delle sue protagoniste" (2019), seguito del precedente "Le pioniere della musica elettronica" (Auditorium Edizioni, Milano, 2012). Dal 2018, diffonde racconti, aneddoti, ascolti e visioni dalla storia della musica elettronica attraverso la mail settimanale "Brevi Storie", divenuta anche una rubrica mensile accolta da musicaelettronica.it. È parte dell'Impero della Luce, duo sperimentale dedicato alle sonorità dei campi elettromagnetici, con il quale partecipa al progetto europeo Keychange dedicato alla parità di genere nell'industria musicale.

Johann Merrich is a sound organizer and a disseminator of the electronic music history with particular attention to the role of women. She published the book "A short history of electronic music and its women protagonists" (Arcana, Rome 2019 - English translation will be out on June 2021), following the previous "Le Pioniere della Musica Elettronica"/"Pioneering Women of electronic music" (Auditorium Edizioni, Milan, 2012). Since 2018, she has been spreading stories, anecdotes, plays and visions related to the history of electronic music through the weekly e-mail "Brevi Storie"/"Short Stories", which has also become a monthly column hosted at musicaelettronica.it. She's is part of L'Impero della Luce/the Empire of Light, an experimental duo dedicated to the sounds of electromagnetic fields; in 2020, the project has been selected to be part of Keychange, European project dedicated to gender equality in the music industry.
