29 SEP 2024 · The early church had to navigate what it looked like for Gentiles (Greeks) to be incorporated into the new family of faith with Israel (Jews) in light of Jesus' death, resurrection, and ascension.Their big questions.... What about our food laws? circumcision? our special festivals? Are these necessary to be in the family of faith?Similarly, as our country moves towards November's election (and tbh, pick your hot button cultural issue as of late) we invite you to ground yourself in the book of Galatians which invites followers of Jesus to live as a united family of faith under the primary identity marker of Jesus and His way of love. But what does that look like? How does that tangibly impact how I talk to my neighbor who thinks and lives and votes very differently than I do?Well... that's what we'll be exploring over the course of the next 12 or so weeks.Recommended resources:https://bibleproject.com/explore/video/galatians/

25 AUG 2024 · Surgeon General Vivek Hallegere Murthy recently released a statement that the greatest health risk at the present moment is not cancer or heart disease, but loneliness.
Let that sink in for a moment - could it be there is something profoundly God-given about our need for belonging? For being in community with others?
Join us as we wrap up part 8 of our 8 part teaching series entitled “Made New” as we explore the practice of the Chrsitian community and it’s formational potential for our lives to come into greater alignment with Jesus’ love and will.
11 AUG 2024 · Recent polls show that most people agree that the Bible teaches Christians should be generous with their time and their talents (ie. serving / volunteering)… but less would agree the same to be true of their treasure (ie. money) and even less with the practice of tithing (giving 10% of their income to their local church.) Join us for week 6 of an 8 part teaching series entitled "Made New" as we dive into the biblical story to explore the practices of tithing and generosity to uncover both the beauty and wisdom these practices hold in forming us into people of love, faith, joy, and peace.
