17 NOV 2024 · In the battle between flesh and Spirit, every Christian faces an ongoing struggle. Join us as we explore the powerful principle: what we feed grows.
Paul’s letter to the Galatians shows us that if we feed our flesh—through indulgence in sin and selfish desires—we will bear destructive fruit. But when we feed the Spirit, cultivating love, peace, patience, and joy, our lives begin to reflect the Kingdom of God.
Join us as we dive into how daily spiritual disciplines—like rest, healthy living, and guarding our minds—can help us partner with God in advancing His kingdom. #MadeNew #Galatians #SpiritualGrowth

10 NOV 2024 · Freedom is often misunderstood today as personal preference and pleasure, but in the Bible it's about not just “freedom from” (sin, death, evil, the Devil), but also “freedom for” (service, love, mission). Paul and other NT writers present “free” Christians as not autonomous beings, but transferring from slavery to sin to slavery to Christ. Join us for part 8 of our 10 part Galatians teaching series as we explore this theme in 5:1-13 of “Freedom to Serve”

3 NOV 2024 · Galatians is largely about identity and belonging; “who am I? Who do I belong with? In a dangerous world, where is my safety?” Paul’s answer is that Christ welcomes all people freely into his family/community graciously. Join us for part 7 of our fall series: “Galatians, Good News for Divided Times” as we explore the theme of freedom as adoption.

27 OCT 2024 · Join us as we explore Galatians chapter 3 where Paul differentiates the way of the Law, vs. the way of Faith. It’s important not to set the Law up as “bad cop,” because God gave a covenantal Law to Israel that was holy and righteous and good. However, it was restrictive and temporary, while faith & promise was always meant to be the permanent solution to sin.

6 OCT 2024 · There is a cynicism among the secular world towards the church and it goes something like this… “We love your Jesus… but we don’t understand why you His followers don’t look much like Him.” Join us today as we continue our series through the book of Galatians as we chip away at the secular world’s critique of the church with the good news that our formation into the image of Jesus is our witness of His love and mercy.

29 SEP 2024 · The early church had to navigate what it looked like for Gentiles (Greeks) to be incorporated into the new family of faith with Israel (Jews) in light of Jesus' death, resurrection, and ascension.Their big questions.... What about our food laws? circumcision? our special festivals? Are these necessary to be in the family of faith?Similarly, as our country moves towards November's election (and tbh, pick your hot button cultural issue as of late) we invite you to ground yourself in the book of Galatians which invites followers of Jesus to live as a united family of faith under the primary identity marker of Jesus and His way of love. But what does that look like? How does that tangibly impact how I talk to my neighbor who thinks and lives and votes very differently than I do?Well... that's what we'll be exploring over the course of the next 12 or so weeks.Recommended resources:https://bibleproject.com/explore/video/galatians/
