Colleges are slashing tuition prices as students balk at soaring costs!!
Young Americans are reconsidering the value of a college degree given the high cost of college and the prospect of taking on student loan debt, which is prompting some colleges and universities to cut tuition costs to attract students and boost enrollment.
A report by Bloomberg noted that several colleges and universities have announced plans to lower their tuition either this year or in the next academic year when students arrive on campus in fall 2027. For example, Emory & Henry University historically offered significant merit scholarships amounting to up to $23,000 to help students negate some of the $40,000 price tag they faced, the report noted.
However, the school moved to reduce tuition by half to $19,900 for undergraduate students this academic year to lower the sticker price students are evaluating, while still offering merit scholarships up to $5,000 and covering tuition costs for certain in-state students from Virginia who meet income criteria.
"Our tuition reduction plan was just one piece of a larger strategic enrollment strategy," said Dr. Louise "Lou" Fincher, president of Emory & Henry University, told FOX Business. "Ultimately, we wanted our published tuition to better reflect the real cost of an Emory & Henry education."

The 2026 midterm election is bearing down on Republicans. How it will turn out will be determined, in part, by whom history says controlled the narrative. Sadly, Republicans are losing that battle just as they did in 2006 when the Iraq War became the decisive issue.
After the 2004 presidential election, Republicans had a House majority of 232 seats to 202 seats held by the Democrats. After the 2006 election, that was reversed, with Democrats holding 233 seats to 202 for Republicans, with Democrats even picking up the one independent seat.
What might be surprising about that loss is that the 2006 economy was growing at 3% and there were 1.8 million new jobs added in 2006.

Devout Catholic parents in Massachusetts are begging for custody of their teenage daughter after they claim her school allegedly convinced her to secretly transition.
Joseph and Arlene Kutzko have not seen or heard from their daughter, Sophie, 17, since 2024, after she was allegedly removed from their home by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) because they do not acknowledge her as a boy due to their faith, the couple told Fox News reporter Lauren Green.
The husband and wife have claimed that staff at Sophie's school, Algonquin Regional High School, 'exposed' Sophie to gender ideologies without their knowledge, they told Green on her Lighthouse Faith podcast. Joseph told the outlet that it all started after administrators and counselors at the Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough 'exposed' Sophie to 'LGBTQ teachings and topics that conflict with our Catholic beliefs.'
According to her father, Sophie 'became more withdrawn from the family' in late November 2024. At the time, she was 15 years old, Joseph said. Sophie also started to stay after school for 'counseling' about gender transitioning, but Joseph and Arlene were told that the sessions involved her getting extra help in math, they claimed to the outlet.
The couple, who got visibly emotional while talking about their child, said they had no clue what was going on until the school alerted state services and took Sophie from their care. 'We didn't find out until after Sophie was removed,' he said. 'It came on like a tornado.'

Vernadette Broyles, the couple's lawyer who works with the Child and Parental Rights Campaign, said that the school participated in 'secret transitioning' after learning that 'Sophie had started to reject her sex.' 'The school began to use male pronouns and non-binary pronouns to refer to her by a male name in these secret counseling sessions that we suspect to affirm this rejection of her sex. And all of this was happening completely secret to the parents,' Broyles told Green.
The couple is now fighting to keep Sophie from receiving high-dose testosterone - something that does not qualify as 'ordinary' medical care and needs consent from parents or permission from the court, Broyles argued.
She said that they have since filed a motion to block this from happening. 'We are actively fighting in court to keep them from really poisoning this young lady with testosterone.
'We are actively fighting because DCF wants to proceed with this,' their lawyer continued.
DCF has also gone on to accuse the mother and father of alleged abuse against their daughter, they explained. Joseph was previously arrested over these allegations, but according to Broyles, the claims of physical abuse ended up being 'untrue' and 'unsupported.'

9-17-26 Conservative Commandos: Six charged in three states in alleged election fraud cases
Six people in California, Kansas and Louisiana are facing federal charges in separate cases
involving alleged illegal voting, fraudulent voter registration and identity fraud.
In California, three people are accused of using stolen identities of registered voters to create
signatures for ballot initiative petitions.
“These defendants are charged with using stolen identities of registered voters to manufacture
signatures on ballot petitions used to shape California law,” said First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill
Essayli for the Central District of California. “They allegedly used people, including members of
Skid Row’s vulnerable homeless population, to try to cover up their tracks. The charged conduct
undermines the confidence voters have in our election systems, and we will vigorously investigate
and charge anyone involved.”
Prosecutors allege they paid people on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles to sign the petitions
using those identities. One defendant was arrested last week.
“Protecting election integrity for the American people is one of the top priorities for this FBI,” said
FBI Director Kash Patel. “Every American citizen has a right to free and fair elections — and we will
not hesitate to use all available resources to investigate every credible allegation of election
fraud and illegal voting.”
In Kansas, a 24-year-old Peruvian national and permanent U.S. resident is accused of falsely
claiming to be a U.S. citizen to register and vote in a 2024 federal election.
In Louisiana, a woman is accused of fraudulently registering another person to vote by claiming
he was a U.S. citizen. That man is separately charged with allegedly voting in the November 2024
election despite being ineligible to vote.
“Two aliens in Kansas and Louisiana are charged with illegally voting,” said Secretary of Homeland
Security Markwayne Mullin. “Voter fraud is already a serious problem, but non-citizens voting is
even worse. Every time a non-citizen casts a ballot, it steals a vote from an American citizen.

This past May in Texas, armed immigration agents appeared in the parking lot of an active polling place. In New York in June, Immigration and Custom Enforcement agents entered a voting location to question a poll worker about her social media posts. If there is evidence of illegal voting , why not! If a crime is being commited, why not!! if nothing else, just the threat of ICE agents being at the polling booths may have the effect of stopping illegal voters from showing up!!
So what are the consequences? If Armed federal agents at the polls could intimidate non-citizens from voting, thats a good thing!! . Legal voters need not worry about the risk. Eligible voters need not question or fear of being detained because of their perceived immigration status, their name, their accent or the color of their skin.
What strikes at the heart of our ability to hold free and fair elections is voter fraud, non- citizens voting. And now it is up to ICE to defend these rights of legal voters. We can all help by spreading the word of ICE agents protecting legal voting! Lets stop illegal immigrants from dividing us. let it be known that ice agents are coming to protect voting rights and to guarantee only american citizens vote!!
Cities like Denver knows what it takes to let illegals vote. Two years ago, more than 40,000 migrants arrived in Denver. The city opened shelters, and were not shy about their desire to register these people to vote!!
Cities like Denver and every major Democrat city in America will do the same when it comes to violating voting laws to gain political advantage. In 2024, 90% of Denver voters cast their ballots by mail or drop box. God know how many of those 40,000 illegals voted!! Denver's elections and elections everywhere in America must be secure, transparent and built on gold-standard security. We need ICE to keep them that way.
We can not wait until Election Day to prepare. Election workers are already being trained to work with federal agents, to document only Americans are voting and de-escalate encounters if necessary. And it's why all of us citizens need to spread the word that ICE IS COMING!!! Be like Paul Revere, even if ICE can not be at all voting places at all times, maybe just the threat they may be will keep illegal voters at home.
No American should have to wonder whether exercising their rights for fair and honest elections could be in jeopardy. We The People will not be intimidated. We will do everything in our power to ensure only eligible voters can cast their ballots freely, safely and without fear of another stolen election!!

President Trump posted a map showing New Mexico rebranded as “New America” during a rapid-fire Truth Social storm on Sunday. The post, one of 34 made in less than an hour, showed a map of the southwestern state with the word “Mexico” crossed out and replaced with “America.”
The rebrand would be the latest America-themed name change by the president after he ordered that the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Ontario be rechristened the Gulf of America and Lake America, respectively. Trump renamed the Gulf of America after coming back into office in January 2025, claiming the change in name would “honor American greatness.”
The president’s Truth Social storm also included a photo of the commander-in-chief’s face superimposed over wrestler Hulk Hogan, with a “MAGA” bandana photoshopped onto his head. Another post showed the borders of Iran reshaped in an outline of the president’s head as the US’ war with the Middle Eastern country continued past the six-month mark.
Also featured in the posting were a series of graphs showing purported economic gains made by the admin. If you Google "Trump Renames New Mexico ‘New America’", you will get over 12.500,000 results!!! Trump knows how to get Liberals and Google to explode!!!

Meta’s settlement with state attorneys general is being celebrated as a victory over Big Tech. It may turn out to be something closer to the opposite: a case study in how regulation ends up entrenching the companies it’s meant to restrain.
Meta will pay billions to settle claims involving Facebook and Instagram. More consequentially, it agreed to an elaborate regulatory regime for users under 18—daily use limits, nighttime restrictions, school-hour notification limits, enhanced age verification, restrictions on certain features, stronger parental controls, and scrutiny from an independent auditor and the attorneys general themselves.
Some of this may be sound policy. But stack the pieces together and paradoxes emerge, ones that ought to bother conservatives—and anyone wary of government’s expanding footprint in private markets.
Start with privacy. Part of the original complaint was that Meta collected too much information about children. The fix requires Meta to get considerably better at identifying them. A 15-year-old claiming to be 19 can’t be taken at his word, so Meta needs sharper age-assurance tools—and the harder government pushes to stop teenagers from slipping past the restrictions, the more sophisticated that identification machinery has to get. We are protecting children’s privacy by requiring a company to know more about them.
